Today I'm giving thanks for Joseph Rueter.
Joseph and I went to the same college and I think we had a few classes together. But we really didn’t know each other well back in those days. We got connected in the late 2000’s via a mutual friend. One thing Joseph and I had in common in those days was the pursuit of quite a few startup ideas in parallel.
Our paths crossed on one startup that we pursued with a few other friends. Unfortunately, it didn’t get to a point of traction, but I’m still really proud of what we built. We also collaborated on a variety of consulting projects that helped us both fund our startup endeavors.
A lot has changed for us both over the past ~13 years, including each of us launching our own startups that scaled, but through it all I consider it good fortune that our friendship has grown. We’ve both had our highs and lows and have seen each other through it.
Lately, it’s been fun for me to live vicariously as he works to get another startup off the ground. And we’ve had a chance to work directly together again as he contributes as a consultant on some key projects I’m working on at Lone Wolf. His unique approach to ideation and prioritization is unparalleled.
Joseph- thank you for your friendship, your support, and the various opportunities to work together over the years.
