Today I'm giving thanks for Thompson Aderinkomi.
I first met Thompson in 2008, long before we each founded what would become HomeSpotter or Nice Healthcare. While our opportunities to get together or talk are infrequent, he’s on a short list of people I respect the most.
Thompson is one of those guys you just want to root for to win. He’s nice, humble, and he gives back to others. He's also a tenacious operator and strategist. And- he’s real and candid about his setbacks.
We connected in early 2017 after he had an unfortunate setback at a prior startup. To be honest, I reached out wanting to ensure he was okay. Being a founder takes a mental toll that few recognize.
But- I’m confident I got way more out of that meeting than he did. The positive attitude that he had in the face of adversity was uncanny and was something I definitely learned from.
To see him go on to found Nice Healthcare and continue to scale and win is exciting and something that’s been such an inspiration to me. Seeing Thompson’s success in the face of adversity was a motivator to me to keep going through my own struggles.
Thompson- thanks for your positive attitude and for being an inspiration to me and many others.
