Today I'm giving thanks for John Sheehan.
John was an investor in HomeSpotter. He’s a boomerang Minnesotan – he spent several years in the Bay Area where he worked with Twilio and then went on to raise venture funding for Runscope and build it up before selling to Computer Associates.
One of the things I most appreciate about John is his candor. He’s been very open publicly about the hardships he faced in his entrepreneurial journey. This is what Ben Horowitz simply calls “The Struggle”.
I’ve really appreciated the opportunities I had to get together with John and just be real. While all of my posts hopefully communicate just how supported and privileged I have been through the years, it’s also true that sometimes the journey of a founder/CEO is a real lonely one. Having people you can connect with who’ve been through their own Struggle is so key.
John- thanks for your support and your candor. I appreciate you.
