Today I'm giving thanks for Lee Purvis and John Reese.
In 2007, I was considering leaving Pearson. I had been there nearly three years and although I had already started multiple businesses, there was still part of me that was a little bit uncertain about breaking out on my own without the security of a regular paycheck.
About that time, I was fortunate to be reacquainted with Lee, who I had met a few years prior. Lee pitched me on the idea of doing some consulting work for Docufide. He put me in touch with John who was Docufide’s CEO.
Soon thereafter, I signed Docufide as my first consulting client and also resigned. Working with Docufide allowed me to have a flexible schedule, while knowing that I could always fill at least half my time with consulting work if desired.
Over the next few years, I retained Docufide as a client while incubating a variety of other projects / potential businesses on the side, one of which ultimately became HomeSpotter.
Lee and John- thank you for being a great client and partner. It gave me the confidence to have the runway to pursue my next ideas and I will always be grateful for that.
