Today I'm giving thanks for Tony McGibbon.
Tony joined in 2015 and was a solid contributor to sales for over six years. Tony also became an investor in HomeSpotter later on.
We shared a lot of good times over the years. Many moments stand out to me, but I’ll highlight just a few here.
Early on, when he interviewed he pitched me on the idea of HomeSpotter becoming the “Slack for real estate”. I liked that he was thinking ahead to where we should go and saw the opportunity.
Later, we had this zany marketing campaign with the tagline “Go Boost Yourself”. Tony and I recorded a kind of weird informercial style video that would play on repeat on a bus at a conference we went to. I think we actually got many of the conference attendees shouting along “Go Boost Yourself” on that bus ride.
But between all the good times and the many sales that Tony produced, my top Tony memory happened when I shared with him the news that we were set to be acquired by Lone Wolf. He was so unabashedly happy for me and for Kate and he expressed gratitude for the opportunities I had given him.
Tony- I’m so grateful for you, for the good times we shared, and for the hard work you put in to help grow the business.
