Today I'm giving thanks for Daren Cotter.
Daren ended up coming in as our last commit to our first round of fundraising. If memory serves me correctly, this may have been Daren’s first angel investment and he was a referral from Mike Bollinger. I almost didn’t take Daren’s investment because we were already technically oversubscribed.
Daren invested in multiple follow on rounds. One of the things I appreciated most about Daren is his consistency in approach and how he evaluated each follow on round. He was also generous with his time and experience.
Daren has since become a prolific angel investor in the Twin Cities over the last eight years. I don’t think there is an individual angel who has made more investments in more companies.
Many have come to rely on Daren’s advice in evaluating investments - and rightfully so.
Daren- thank you for your investments of time and expertise; and thank you for advancing the cause of startup investing in the Twin Cities ecosystem!
