Today I’m giving thanks for John Mosey, CEO of NorthstarMLS.
We signed up NorthstarMLS as our first MLS customer in April 2011. John is known for being an early adopter - but I still consider it good fortune we signed up Northstar when we did.
All our customers prior to Northstar were brokerage customers, which represented a very different use case – enabling consumers to search for properties in a branded mobile app with a goal of generating leads.
MLSs are in the business of providing their member agents services and tools to help them effectively do their jobs. In 2011, MLS software providers effectively had no solution for agents to access the MLS on their phone. This presented an opportunity for us to fill that gap.
To help us adapt our existing solution, John assembled a member advisory committee that helped us shape how the product should work for agents to use it daily.
In the coming years, John provided tons of valuable advice and introductions that allowed us to expand our MLS business.
